Any new or changing skin lesion ( spot, lump, freckle or mole) should be assessed by your GP.

After an initial skin check, a biopsy may be required to determine the nature of a particular lesion.
Serious cancers may be referred to a specialist dermatologist or plastic surgeon for assessment and treatment.
